Tennis match charting app for coaches: the G.O.A.T. chart

G.O.A.T. Coach is a tennis match charting app for iPhone, built by a UK tennis coach. You tap the court where each ball lands, and the app turns it into heat maps, live stats, a momentum chart and player cards that update themselves.

What is tennis match charting?

Tennis match charting means recording what happens on every point of a match: where the serve went, how the rally ended, and who won the point. Coaches use match charts to show players facts instead of impressions, such as where points are won and lost and why tight sets slip away.

How the G.O.A.T. chart works

  1. Start a match and pick your player. Adding an opponent name is optional.
  2. Tap the court where each ball lands. Every serve is a single tap.
  3. Mark how the point ended: a winner, an unforced error, an ace or a double fault. The score updates itself.
  4. Watch the stats build live, then review the match afterwards.

What you get from each match

Charting plus the rest of the coaching day

The same app also handles the register, who has paid and who owes, and homework for players between lessons. Parents can chart a match courtside through the companion and send it straight to the coach.

Pricing

G.O.A.T. Coach has two monthly App Store subscriptions: Lite at £2.99 a month and Pro at £9.99 a month. There is no free tier. Pro adds the analysis side, including heat maps and the momentum chart.
